The holiday is over, and that means it’s time to get back to work.
This afternoon, I found myself looking at production data and wanted to share my findings. For this quick analysis, I focused on individual wells that recorded at least 30,000 barrels of oil in a single month using the 2025 production data reported so far.
Once the data was filtered, a few things became clear:
• Grady County leads the list.
ALFALFA FARMS, ROCKSTEADY, MCNEFF, NISWONGER, IGO, WAR PIG; these wells show up across different months and form a concentrated group of high performers.
• Carter County shows a steady group of repeat wells.
GAPSTOW and WILD BILL appear several times.
• The western counties hold a solid share of strong wells.
Ellis, Roger Mills, Custer, and Dewey each have multiple wells clearing the 30,000 barrel mark. Operators like Mewbourne, Upland, Charter Oak, and SandRidge show up consistently across those areas.
• Central Oklahoma adds its own set of standout wells.
Canadian, Kingfisher, and Oklahoma counties highlight Camino, Ovintiv, and Formentera wells.
• Operator activity becomes much clearer in this filtered view.
Continental dominates the core,
Mewbourne is busy across the west,
Camino and Ovintiv anchor the central corridor,
and a few smaller operators show up with solid one-off wells.
