Camino shows up in our Orders Module 122 times in the past 30 days. The majority of their filings are in Grady County, OK where they appear to be targeting the 08N-05W and 08N-06W townships.

More than onion burgersCanadian County is seeing numerous well location and increased density applications filed. Some of the operators include Camino, DevonOvintiv, & Cimarex (now Coterra)

Order Dismissing CauseRed Wolf, Cannan, and Chisholm accounted for 45 of the 79 filed.

  • It looks like Canaan is launching a new company, Caliber Resource Partners in the Fall of this year, so we hope to see some exciting new things from them!

ASSIGNMENTS, MINERALS, LEASES

Mineral Deeds dense in the SCOOP

McClain and Garvin Counties saw lots of transactions on their western edges.

Top 3 buyers based on consideration recorded: EckardBaseline, & L3 Resources accounted for about 60% of the capital spent in Oklahoma. Nice to see companies deploying capital in the state again.

Oil & gas leasing picks up: At one time, we had hardly anything to report on leases in the state. But that seems to be shifting as 638 leases were filed. Like the mineral deeds above, McClain and Garvin saw the most activity.

Nothing too revealing in Assignments: Biggest transaction took place between TLW Investments & Cannon Field Minerals Fund I, LP, wherein Cannon appeared to pick up an ORRI.

TURNING TO THE RIGHT

75 permits filed, 7 from Devon Energy

Devon Energy & Camino each filed 7 permits. They covered Canadian, Caddo, Grady, and Stephens Counties.

Why Are potatoes called Spuds? Speaking of Spuds, 39 occurred in the past 30 days. Ovintiv led the way with 9.

5 completions were recorded: 80% were classified as straight holes and 20% were classified as directional holes. 100% of the completions were considered “Oil.”

DUC Inventory: We are showing 319 DUCs in the state. The majority are located in Kingfisher County, OK. After creeping up just slightly last month, it looks like the DUC count is back on the downward trend.
