We looked back at Oklahoma pooling activity over the previous 6 months (with November and May representing partial months). We found activity has remained remarkably consistent throughout 2026, with more than 90 affected sections tied to pooling application filings per month from January through April.
Roger Mills, Custer, and Caddo counties accounted for a significant share of recent pooling activity, and nearly 20% of filings involved multiple sections, suggesting continued large-scale horizontal development across western Oklahoma.
Mewbourne, Validus, and Continental have been among the most active applicants over the past six months.
